The hotel was in a perfect location, allowing us easy access to the beautiful nature trails. It was a great way for the whole family to get active and enjoy the outdoors together.

My kids wished there were more children's activities available at the hotel.

Restaurant/bar staff was friendly and fairly efficient but the recetion was always on the edge of rudeness

The pool was fabulous ! The rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were lovely ( jacuzzi bath!).

The bedroom was a little cold. The hotel was a quite a distance from the nearest town.

We had a delightful stay at a charming hotel just outside Emmen. The spacious rooms and beautiful grounds made for a tranquil experience. The restaurant offered delicious food at reasonable prices, and we enjoyed sipping drinks on the outdoor seating. The breakfast buffet was impressively varied, and the balconies in the second-floor rooms would be perfect for summer relaxation. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Value for money; it was cheap although we had an excellent room

We recently stayed at this luxurious 4-star hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was impeccably clean and incredibly spacious, providing us with ample space to relax and rejuvenate. The selection of toiletries was impressive and the air conditioning ensured a comfortable stay throughout. The restaurant exceeded our expectations, offering excellent dining options both in the bistro and on the terrace. The pool area was spotless and inviting, making it a perfect retreat during the hot temperatures we experienced. What truly stood out was the friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Additionally, the breakfast provided was of exceptional quality, leaving us satisfied and ready for the day ahead.

hotel was excellent, food very good, rooms were huge and to a very high standard, all very clean, staff very friendly, gerdens were great, breafast choices were out of this world,would recomand to anyone.

hotel was fine, see positive review i have laft, however the name vander valk hotel emmen was missleading, we were quite a bit out of emmen, and very close to nieuw amsterdam (lovely wee village , open countryside, windmills in the main street, canals etc all you could ask for) which was far nicer that emmen. other than that it was all hunky dory

High comfort, rich breakfast, excellent food.

During my Christmas stay at this hotel, I enjoyed the great location and easy access to nearby attractions. The rooms were clean and well furnished, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the holiday spirit. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast and friendly staff who went out of their way to assist us.

I was disappointed by the lack of amenities, especially during the holidays. The hotel did not offer any special Christmas activities or decorations, which made our stay feel unremarkable.

The clean room was spacious and well-equipped with a good selection of toiletries. The air conditioning was a plus, especially for someone like me who is disabled. The restaurant and bistro were excellent, offering delicious meals. The pool area and pool were always clean and inviting, perfect for relaxing in the 28+ degree temperatures. I was impressed by the friendly and helpful staff throughout my stay.

Room is not preheated. It takes hours to get warmer temperature in the room.

The lobby was super festive, check-in staff were mind-blowing, restaurant food was jaw-dropping, waiting staff were super attentive and friendly, breakfast selection was exceptional.
